About this job: 

The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) encourages applications for a full-time Data Operations Specialist to join the Data Operations team to manage and support NSIDC's archive of satellite, aircraft, and ground data! The Data Operations team operates multiple automated systems for ingest, archival, and distribution of a broad range of NASA, NOAA, and other cryospheric data products. The Data Operations Specialist will serve as a member of NSIDC cross-functional data management teams to provide insight into data operations’ processes, expertise on data archival systems, and information on data management best practices. Additionally, this role will be directly involved in the ingest, archival, publication, discovery, and ongoing management of scientific data both on premises and in the cloud.
