The Technical Writer, part of the Science Communications Group, interacts with several teams at NSIDC to publish and upkeep cryospheric data sets for use by the scientific communities served by NSIDC. The Technical Writer creates and maintains documentation for a broad array of scientific data sets describing remote sensing, airborne, or in situ data. This includes researching and writing about the methods, instrumentation, algorithms, and processing steps used to collect the data.

The National Snow and Ice Data Center is looking for a team-oriented mid-level Software DevOps Engineer with an interest in developing and supporting the infrastructure for NASA Earth science cloud-based data and services. You would be working on a variety of projects, including cloud computing on the NASA Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) cloud data management system, infrastructure, integration applications, and operational automation.
