This collection of publications related to the International Geophysical Year (IGY) 1957-58 was digitized from the University of Colorado Libraries' holdings as part of the National Snow and Ice Data Center's (NSIDC) International Polar Year (IPY) Historic Literature digitization project called DAHLI.  This collection contains several types of documents, including; publications, bibliographies, and essays about the story of the International Geophysical Year.

Most of this collection is concentrated on research materials created as the result of scientific projects during the IGY.  Many of these projects were funded or led by Federal or national institutions.
