Title: Records of the World Data Center for Glaciology, 1974-1995

Abstract
The history of the WDC for Glaciology begins with the International Geophysical Year (IGY) in 1957. Since that time custody of its holdings have changed several times ending up at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, CO under the auspices of NOAA. Details of these transformations and its history under the leadership of NSIDC's first Director Roger Barry are held in the NSIDC files awaiting discovery. The purpose of this project was to provide access to these documents through their digital surrogates online.
