<p class="x_MsoNormal">As you are aware, since the October Terra orbit-lowering maneuver, the L1A software has been unable to process acquired data. This week, GDS has succeeded in fixing the problems, and successfully processed a “new” scene on the development
computer. They will port the fixed software to the production system, test it, and resume normal processing. Fortunately, all data acquired since October have been archived, and will be processed. The problems were multiple, hard-coded in many places. Resolution
suffered from the fact that none of the original code developers were available. Congratulations to GDS for solving the problems.</p>
