To GLIMS subscribers,

The 27th International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) General Assembly will be held in July 2019 in Montréal, Canada.
IACS will host or co-host many symposia between 9 -13 July. There is a wide range of snow and ice topics, including two sessions suitable to submit results from GLIMS-related work or your other cryosphere remote sensing results:

C01 - Glacier Monitoring from In-Situ and Remotely Sensed Observations
Conveners: Michael Zemp, Bruce Raup, Brian Menounos

C02 - Remote Sensing of the Cryosphere - Into an Era of High-Repeat Rate Time Series (confirmed keynote by Sarah Cooley)
Conveners: Liss M. Andreassen, Andreas Kääb, Leigh A. Stearns

See session descriptions for details and full program:
http://www.iugg2019montreal.com/c

Abstract deadline is 18 February 2019.

We also plan to have a GLIMS meeting/workshop during the meeting.

IACS and IUGG will together support a large number of travel grants to enable students, other early career scientists, and attendees from less-affluent countries to come to Montreal.
More information is available here:  http://iugg2019montreal.com/travel-grant

We hope to see many of you in Montreal.

Best regards,
Liss M. Andreassen & Bruce Raup
