  Dear colleagues,

the Global Terrestrial Network for Glaciers (GTN-G, www.gtn-g.org), run
by the WGMS, the NSIDC, and the GLIMS initiative, organizes a session on:

Glacier Monitoring from In-situ and Remotely Sensed Observations

at the EGU General Assembly 2012 in Vienna, Austria (22-27 April).

The session will include key-note talks by Patrick Wagnon (IRD/LGGE) on
mass and energy balance monitoring of Himalayan glaciers and by Bruce Raup
(NSIDC) on a new version of the GTN-G meta-data browser.

We kindly invite you to make use of this opportunity to present your
contributions to the internationally coordinated glacier monitoring.
Abstracts are welcome on both in-situ and remote sensing monitoring of
glaciers and ice caps, from new and well established sites, and on
related uncertainty assessments.

The abstract submission closes 17 January 2012!
