Dear Niels,

I may be mistaken, but I believe that a large amount of ASTER coverage
(using gain settings for rock targets) has been obtained of Greenland. It
will be useful for determing ice/rock contacts wherever snow has melted
off. Rick Wessels can tell you more about what coverage has been
obtained. These data should be publicly released very soon with the huge
caveat that processing of the data is far behind, and so actually the large
amount of coverage may trickle out. So... I recommend going ahead with
ordering Landsat 7 scenes, but also talk to Rick
(rwessels at flagmail.wr.usgs.gov) about what ASTER global mapping data might
be of some use to you.
