NSIDC MEaSUREs Publishes Updated Greenland Glacier Site Velocity Maps
The NSIDC MEaSUREs program has published an update to the data set MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from InSAR, supplying data for additional locations in Greenland. The data were produced from TerraSAR-X (TSX) image pairs collected from January to May 2009.

MEaSUREs Antarctic data products released
NSIDC is pleased to announce the release of two Antarctic data sets, part of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) program. The MEaSUREs program aims to develop consistent global and continent scale data records related to earth science, or Earth System Data Records (ESDRs).
- MEaSUREs InSAR-Based Antarctica Velocity Map (nsidc-0484) provides the first comprehensive, high-resolution, digital mosaic of ice motion in Antarctica. The data set was assembled from multiple satellite interferometric synthetic-aperture radar data, acquired during the International Polar Year 2007 to 2009.
- MEaSUREs Antarctic Grounding Line from Differential Satellite Radar Interferometry (nsidc-0498) provides a high-resolution map of grounding lines in Antarctica, derived using 17 years of differential satellite synthetic aperture.
MEaSUREs Global Record of Daily Landscape Freeze/Thaw Status, Version 01 Data Set Released
NSIDC has released MEaSUREs Global Record of Daily Landscape Freeze/Thaw Status, Version 01 (NSIDC-0477). This data set provides a global record of daily freeze/thaw status from 1988 to 2007. The data set is based on data from the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I).
First MEaSUREs Data Set Released
NSIDC is pleased to announce the release of MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Sheet Velocity Map from InSAR Data (NSIDC-0478). This data set, part of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) program, provides velocity data for the Greenland Ice Sheet. Data are currently available for the 2000-2001 and 2005-2006 boreal summers.
