This data set includes active layer depth and groundwater data from boreholes in the Yana River Area, Russia. Boreholes ranged in depth from 5 to 200 m. The project also measured permafrost extent and described active periglacial processes. Data were collected during 1945, 1952, 1961, 1971-72, 1983, 1985, and 1989.
