This data set provides description of permafrost extent, measurements of temperature regime and water inflow in mines, measurements of active-layer depth, and descriptions of periglacial processes for the Upper Kolyma area and the Omolon Depression in Russia. Data were collected during 1949-55, 1972, and 1979.
