This study investigated periglacial processes in the area around Magadan City, Russia. Polygons containing observation sites were established in both natural and disturbed conditions. Permafrost temperature, thickness, and water content were measured in boreholes up to 160 m deep. Active-layer depth and soil properties were also measured. Data were collected during 1933, 1939-54, 1957-58, 1968-86, and 1989. Data CitationThe following example shows how to cite the use of this data set in a publication.
