This data set provides air temperature (1.5 m above ground surface) data from the Kanchanjunga Himal, eastern Nepal. Air temperature was monitored from November 1998 to November 1999 at three locations (Tengkoma, Lhonak, and Ghunsa) at altitudes of 3410, 4750 and 6012 m ASL. Although temperature was measured at one-hour intervals, only daily mean values are provided. Data are available via ftp.

Data were collected at three sites in Kanchanjunga Himal, eastern Nepal. The geographic coordinates at each site were read from a 1:50,000 topographic map of Nepal.
Northwest latitude: 27.8 NData were collected between 1998 and 1999.
This data set consists of surface air temperature data, collected at 1.5 m above the ground surface and measured with a waterproof miniature data logger TR52 (T&D Corporation).
