NMC Octagonal Grid Subsection Map

Arctic water vapor characteristics data are available for the 17x17 subsection as depicted by the stars and heavy dots in this map. With the exception of sea level pressure and geopotential height, data for all parameters are available for grid locations north of 65 degrees north (as shown by the stars). Sea level pressure and geopotential height are available over the entire array (as depicted by both stars and dots). Data for the circled interior Greenland grid locations are influenced by artifacts of the interpolation procedure and should be treated cautiously.
