NSIDC's AVHRR Polar 1 Km Level 1B Data Set contains over 15,000 scenes collected from thirteen HRTP sites around the world. The archive is a subset of the data set that lists the available Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer scenes within the data set. Using this browse tool, you can search the archive by receiving station, date, time, and hemisphere. You can also use the tool to view browse images and order data. (You can also download the entire archive index (7.3 MB) via anonymous ftp.)
Note: If you are unfamiliar with the data set, you should read the data set documentation. You may view and/or download as many browse scenes as you wish. However, when ordering full-resolution data from the AVHRR Polar 1 Km Data Set, try to limit your request to a few specific scenes. Orders requiring large numbers of scenes, such as daily coverage of particular regions for an entire season or year, cannot be filled at this time due to staff limitations. This restriction will be removed once we develop a more automated distribution system for the AVHRR and the Pathfinder data products (albedo, surface temperature, and sea-ice motion) derived from it.
