Detailed Data Description

The data are measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the WAIS Divide Ice Core, WDC06A, Antarctica, dating from 9,000 to 23,000 BP. Measurements of CO2 were made at Oregon State University using a mechanical crushing system.

The data are from a 2,800 m section of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) Divide ice core, collected in 2011.

Processing Steps

Measurements of CO2 were made at Oregon State University using a mechanical crushing system. See Ahn et al. for methodology. For more information on the processing of the core samples, see Marcott, et al.
