Discovery and Access of Historic Literature from the IPYs DAHLI will develop an online bibliography of records and publications from past International Polar Year (IPY) events: 1882-1883, 1932-1933, and 1957-1958. Materials may include scientific research, scientific observations and data, sociological data, and historical data. DAHLI will stimulate the discovery and preservation of these rare and uncatalogued items, estimated to be several thousand documents, in archives around the world. Discovery of literature will be ongoing through the IPY years and beyond. On this site, you will be able to find literature and view information about each participating institution's holdings. As each institution catalogues its holdings, you will be able to view a bibliography of materials. Some institutions may digitize materials for online access, as funding permits. Institutions holding historic IPY literature can contribute holdings information and bibliographic information to this site.
