A user/provider workshop was held 16-17 November 2006 at Columbia University's Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, NY. The workshop brought together relevant members of the applied and research science, data provider, and tool development communities to clearly define system requirements.
High level results of the workshop are documented by Parsons and Wilson in the 20 February 2007 issue of Eos (Subscription required).
More detailed results are presented in the discussion forum and as formal use cases (SolutionsUseCase_CoastsOcean_Arctic_1a, SolutionsUseCase_CoastsOcean_Arctic_2a) hosted by the Earth Science Information Partner Federation wiki. We welcome feedback and edits to these use cases.
