CLPX-Satellite: AMSR-E Brightness Temperature Grids View Catalog Page Entry ID
NSIDC-0145
Summary
This data set includes Aqua Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer - Earth Observing System (AMSR-E) passive microwave brightness temperatures gridded to the geographic (lat-lon) and UTM grids of the Cold Land Processes Field Experiment (CLPX) Large Regional Study Area (LRSA). Data are provided for passive microwave frequencies at 6.9, 10.7, 18.7,23.8, 36.5 and 89.0 GHz, separated by ascending and descending satellite passes, and include time files. These data are interpolated from swath space using inverse distance squared resampling. Grid resolution is approximately 25 km. Temporal coverage is 1 February - 31 May, 2003. Satellite passive microwave brightness temperatures can be used to derive snow water equivalent.
