  <Summary>This data set was distributed by NSIDC until October, 2003, when it was withdrawn from distribution because it duplicates the NOAA National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) data set DSI-3720. The NCDC data set is revised and updated beyond what was distributed by NSIDC. This archive consists of monthly precipitation measurements from 622 stations located in the Former Soviet Union.</Summary>
