Permafrost and Gas Hydrates as Possible Sources of Methane, Alaska, USA View Catalog Page Entry ID
GGD235
Summary
This project measured the amount of methane present in shallow permafrost and gas hydrate near Fairbanks, Alaska, to evaluate the role of permafrost and gas hydrate as possible sources of atmospheric methane. Air samples and 10 cm core samples were analyzed by gas chromatography.
