Upon extracting and reformatting the data, Julienne Stroeve (NSIDC) checked that all data values were correctly filled in.These data are freely, openly, and fully accessible, provided that you are logged into your NASA Earthdata profile (https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov/).These data are freely, openly, and fully available to use without restrictions, provided that you cite the data according to the recommended citation at https://nsidc.org/about/use_copyright.html. for integerated surface hourly data. Asheville, NC: National Climatic Data
Center. http://support.weblakes.com/Resource/td3505.pdfThis product consists of meteorological data from 105 Arctic weather stations and 137 Antarctic stations, extracted from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC)'s Integrated Surface Hourly (ISH) database. Variables include wind direction, wind speed, visibility, air temperature, dew point temperature, and sea level pressure. Temporal coverage varies by station, with the earliest record in 1913 and the latest in 2002. Data are in tab-delimited ASCII text format, with one file per station and year. Graphs of meteorological variables throughout the time series accompany the ASCII data.VIEW RELATED INFORMATIONhttps://doi.org/10.5067/4DIN375AWFIODocumentationGET DATAhttps://daacdata.apps.nsidc.org/pub/DATASETS/nsidc0190_surface_obs_v1/HTTPSCEOS IDN DIFVERSION 9.92004-01-072024-02-26NSIDCVersion SummaryNSIDCMinor VersionNSIDCCurrent Version1NSIDCLevel of ServiceBasicNSIDCFull Dataset Citation2004. Historical Arctic and Antarctic Surface Observational Data. [indicate subset used].
