estimates over the Antarctic ice sheet, including waveform tracking,
slope correction, data filtering (tests for return-echo waveform
shape, backscatter coefficient, and retracking correction values for
each altimeter height estimate), and removal of anomalous orbits. These data are freely, openly, and fully accessible, provided that you are logged into your NASA Earthdata profile (https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov/).These data are freely, openly, and fully available to use without restrictions, provided that you cite the data according to the recommended citation at https://nsidc.org/about/use_copyright.html. This data set provides a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for Antarctica to 81.5 degrees south latitude, at a resolution of 5 km. Approximately twenty million data points were used to generate this data set. Data points were derived from ERS-1 radar altimetry during the geodetic phase from March 1994 to May 1995.VIEW RELATED INFORMATIONhttps://doi.org/10.5067/BZVCEDZWUTCHDocumentationGET DATAhttps://daacdata.apps.nsidc.org/pub/DATASETS/BAMBER_DEM/HTTPSPROJECT HOME PAGEhttp://nsidc.org/data/radarsat/index.htmlThe Radarsat Antarctic Mapping Project (RAMP)VIEW RELATED INFORMATIONhttp://nsidc.org/data/dems/index.htmlPolar Ice Sheet DEMs and Elevation DataVIEW RELATED INFORMATIONhttp://nsidc.org/data/gis/index.htmlGIS Data and Resources at NSIDCUSA/NASACEOS IDN DIFVERSION 9.92000-01-012023-05-23NSIDCVersion SummaryNSIDCMinor VersionNSIDCCurrent Version1NSIDCLevel of ServiceBasicNSIDCFull Dataset CitationBamber, J. 2000. <i>Antarctic 5-km Digital Elevation Model from ERS-1 Altimetry.</i> [indicate subset used].
