Users of the NSIDC Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP) can now save maps and download the source data for each of the layers displayed in the map.
The NSIDC Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP) now contains Antarctic ice flow velocity data from the VELMAP collection.
NSIDC has released thirteen single- and few-point data sets for access through the AGDC Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP). These data sets include measurements from snow pits and ice cores across Antarctica.
Additional data sets are now available via the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP). The data sets include elevation and ice thickness in Western Marie Bird Land, and laser altimetry of the Thwaites Glacier Catchment in Western Antarctica. Also, additional ice core locations have been added to the A-CAP Antarctic ice core overlay.
Four additional data sets are now available via the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP). The newly available data sets include ice thickness, surface velocity of Taylor Glacier, and basemaps for accumulation and Surface Mass Balance (SMB).
The data set, Ablation rates of Taylor Glacier, Antarctica (NSIDC-0326), is now available through the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP). This data set provides glacier surface ablation rates for a network of approximately 250 sites on Taylor Glacier, for the year 2003.
The data set, Subglacial topography: airborne geophysical survey of the Amundsen Sea Embayment, Antarctica (NSIDC-0292), is now available through the NSIDC Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP).
Support for the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Feature Service (WFS) has been upgraded from Version 1.0.0 to 1.1.0. and Web Coverage Service (WCS) has been upgraded from Version 1.0.0 to 1.1.1.
A-CAP users can now select some layers from NSIDC's Antarctic Glaciological Data Center (AGDC). AGDC data sets are collected by individual investigators who are funded by specific grants through the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Office of Polar Programs (OPP). NSIDC is actively incorporating the existing AGDC archive into A-CAP. Check back regularly for the latest additions.
Users of the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP) Beta Version can now query the map image for the data values at a location they are interested in.
A beta version, or prototype, of the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP) has been released for public use. A-CAP is a geo-visualization and data download tool for AGDC data and other Antarctic-wide parameters, developed at the NSIDC Antarctic Glaciological Data Center (AGDC)
