With NSIDC's recent upgrade of MapServer from Version 4.99 to 5.2.0, the Antarctic Cryosphere Access Portal (A-CAP) (http://nsidc.org/agdc/acap/) Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Feature Service (WFS) had also been upgraded from Version 1.0.0 to 1.1.0. Also, support for Web Coverage Service (WCS) has been upgraded from Version 1.0.0 to 1.1.1.

Support for Web Map Service (WMS) remains at Version 1.1.1.

WFS provides vector data (points, lines, and polygons) in Geography Markup Language (GML) format, while WCS provides raster data (rectangular grids of data values) in GeoTIFF format. More details on what these services provide and how you can access them are provided at: http://nsidc.org/agdc/acap/ogc_services.html.

We welcome your feedback on this project, which is currently in active development. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please contact the A-CAP Team. A-CAP is developed using MapServer, an open source development environment for building spatially-enabled Internet applications.
