To users of the EOS Data Gateway (EDG): please note that the Warehouse Inventory Search Tool (WIST) will be replacing EDG. In early June 2008, we are requesting that registered users migrate your user accounts and begin using WIST. We will send registered users an email with further information on WIST and the migration process. We also encourage guest users to begin using WIST in early June.

UPDATE: 01-05-07 TRANSITION OF MODIS SERVICES AT THE GES DISC TO MODAPS
The GES DAAC will discontinue distribution of MODIS Collection 004 Terra and Aqua atmospheres data products on January 15, 2007. MODAPS will be the sole source for all MODIS atmosphere data products both collection 004 and 005.

MODAPS uses the L1 and Atmospheres Archive and Distribution System (LAADS) to provide users with access to the MODIS products. LAADS can be found at http://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov. This system maintains some L1B and all atmosphere products on disk (the remaining L1B are available through processing-on-demand) and provides access through search/order and ftp. A full description of the MODAPS services is given at http://modaps.nascom.nasa.gov/services/.

MODAPS is sending metadata and browse products for MODIS L1 and atmospheres data to the Earth Observing System Clearinghouse (ECHO) at http://www.echo.eos.nasa.gov to support cross data center product search and ordering. Users can search for MODIS products in LAADS and other holdings at the DAACs using the Warehouse Inventory Search Tool (WIST), an ECHO client, at http://delenn.gsfc.nasa.gov/~wist/wist/imswelcome/

09-15-06 The GES DISC will no longer support MODIS Terra and Aqua collection 005 and MODIS Atmospheres On Demand Subsetting as of 09-25-06 when the services transition to MODAPS. You can read more on this update in the revised MODIS Transition announcment.

09-05-06 GES DISC no longer support MODIS Terra MOD02SSH and MOD02SSN as well as MODIS AQUA MYD02SSH and MYD02SSN and these will shortly be removed from the datapool. The MOD02SSH data product will be available through MODAPS at http://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov/data/. The GES DISC will continue to have the older versions of the MOD02SSN product until further notice.

      SORCE data migrated to ACDISC
      01/25/2007
This is a notice to users that the SORCE Level 3 data products have been migrated from the ECS datapool to the new ACDISC online disk archive.
See the SORCE data access page for information on obtaining these data.

    • LP DAAC:
LP DAAC is currently experiencing a delay in the distribution of ASTER data. Users may expect their ASTER orders to complete outside of the normal 1-3 days. We are currently working to resolve the issue.
    • NSIDC:
To users of the EOS Data Gateway (EDG): please note that the Warehouse Inventory Search Tool (WIST) will be replacing EDG. At the end of April 2008, we are requesting that registered users migrate your user accounts and begin using WIST. We will send registered users an email with further information on WIST and the migration process. We also encourage guest users to begin using WIST at the end of April.
